It was very sad to hear of the death of Mountie this week - I will remember him for his wicked (bordering on vicious) sense of humour and his announcement that Polish toilet paper was "like bleedin' Christmas cards". God bless you Dave.

Very sad news indeed. My condolences go out to his family and friends. Although he was often seen as the quiet one, you only have to watch the old videos to see that he had a wicked sense of humour. We will miss him.

I was at an oldie festival the day I had read on Tom Bennett's site that Dave had died. The Hollies (with Ray Stiles) were playing there, so I somehow hoped that Ray Stiles would do a tribute to Dave, but much to my regret he didn't (not sure whether he was allowed to either as often the organisation of such oldie festivals decide which songs will have to be played).

Very sad to hear the news of Dave. Crying or Very sad I would also like to pass on my condolences to all his family and friends. Dave, and Les, will however always live on in our memories, keep the music playing.
